A fight over a proposed landfill in the Niagara County Town of Porter has been going on for more than 20 years and now a judge is recommending approval of the landfill be denied.

Chris Scanlon will not run for Buffalo mayor in the general election. Scanlon's decision comes after he lost the primary election on Tuesday to New York State Senator Sean Ryan.
