The mother of a victim of an alleged attack by a man carrying a chain in Boulder, Colorado, last week is sharing her concerns about the town's safety and communication with police.

Colorado will offer $250,000 in security grants for places at increased risk of attack, such as synagogues, mosques and places of worship, Gov. Jared Polis announced Monday.
