Tonje became a NBA prospect during his one season with the Badgers when he averaged 19.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

The Utah Jazz have selected Wisconsin Badgers guard John Tonje with the No. 53 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Tonje, a second-team All-American this season, was a breakout star for the Badgers, averaging 19.6 points and 5.3 rebounds on 46.5 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from three.
