The U.S. defeated Costa Rica in a come-from-behind win, 4-3 on penalties to advance to the semifinals and Guatemala pulled off the upset over Canada, 6-5 on penalties. Guatemala finished second to Panama in the group stage with a record of 2-1.

The USMNT secured its spot in the Gold Cup semifinals after a 2-2 draw with Costa Rica. The quarterfinal match went to a shootout that extended into the sixth round, where Damion Downs scored the decisive penalty, leading the U.S. to a 3-2 victory over Costa Rica.

Luna almost played Agyemang into space as there has been chances on both ends early in the match. Guatemala wants to attack the USMNT, and it's leaving space that they're also exploiting. The USMNT will want another goal quickly, though, because Guatemala looks like they'll score.
