LONDON, Ky. (WBKO) - Kentucky State Police issued an Ashanti Alert Saturday morning for a woman believed to be in danger.

LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police Troopers have located Megan Cromer. KSP reports that they have located Ms. Cromer, and she is safe. KSP says they are unaware of any arrests being made.

Senate Bill 45 would establish the Kentucky Ashanti Alert system, which would notify the public when an adult is missing and may have been abducted or kidnapped or maybe in physical danger.

An Ashanti Alert is issued when a person between the ages of 19-64 has been reported missing and the circumstances surrounding their disappearance could be the result of a kidnapping or abduction.

“The Ashanti Alert is more or less an Amber Alert for an adult,” explains Morrissa Ahl-Moyer, director of the N.C. Center for Missing Persons. The alert covers people 18 to 64.

An Ashanti Alert is used when investigators think an adult who doesn't fall under an Amber or Silver Alert has been abducted or kidnapped. This is for anyone between the ages of 18 and 64.
