The candidates are clear. Guard Jaelyn Brown and forward Makayla Timpson each played a team-low 10 minutes against the Dream, and they are the two most likely players to face a cut before the Fever take on Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in the regular season opener at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 17.

The Dream in January signed former Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner to a one-year deal, where she’ll join a team headlined by 2022 first overall pick Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray.
