Argentine side River Plate are out of the Club World Cup, finishing their final group match with nine players as they are beaten by Inter Milan, who progress to the knockout stages.

Inter Milan secured a 2-0 victory over River Plate to advance to the Club World Cup's second round. Francesco Pio Esposito scored in the 72nd minute on Wednesday night's match, just after River Plate’s Lucas Martínez Quarta received a red card.
